Print/ Tip

We have too little Omega-3 in our diet and global health organisations have stated that this can lead to certain health concerns.

Because the vital Omgea-3s EPA and DHA cannot be produced in your body, you need to eat at least two servings of fatty fish per week for maintainance of your overall health? If not, Omega-3 supplements or Omega-360TM enriched food and drink will support you and your family with all the vital Omega-3s you need for a balanced health.

The total recommended dialy intake of Omega-3 varies from 0.5 - 2 grams of EPA and DHA per day. ISSFAL (International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and Lipids) recommend 0.65 grams Omega-3 per day, of which at least 0.22 should be EPA and 0.22 DHA (if you are pregnant, breast feeding or have coronary hearth disease, please consult with your nutritionist or other health professionals for more targeted guidelines). Omega-360TM is particularly good for you since it contains the natural and long chained EPA and DHA Omega-3s.

So how much healthy Omega-3 should a serving of food include? It will depend on several factors and not least on how many servings you regularly consume of the food item in question. You may prefer significant doses in one serving, or you would like to take a little here and a little there which together adds up over the course of the day.
